Iced Coffee

Oh my goodness.  I have never had an iced coffee before this week and it could truly be habit forming.  I checked out The Pioneer Woman’s latest cookbook at the library and there are so many recipes that look delicious.

I am definitely going to have to buy this cookbook for my collection.  Mom and I decided to try the very first recipe in the cookbook which is Iced Coffee.  It is a very simple recipe.

When I first thought of Iced coffee I figured the coffee needed to be brewed first, well I was wrong.  The ground coffee soaks in water for 12 -24 hours.

We made the iced coffee in pint jars.  We didn’t add the condensed milk like it calls for but it was still really good.  We used coffee, Irish Crème, ice cubes, and some sugar. Here is Ree’s iced coffee.  It is an absolutely perfect drink for these hot summer days.
