Terrible blogger

I am a terrible blogger.  I have these great intentions of writing a blog post but I never do.  We all have a story, I just think mine is boring.  :)

I bought a kindle fire last month, something I never thought I would buy, but it has been a lot of fun to read books on, surf the Internet and play words with friends.  I have never really played scrabble accept for scrabble Jr. where they give you the words to play.  Words with friends can be an addictive game.

My schedule at the library is changing slightly so I will be working Saturdays instead of Sundays.  Sundays have always been the fun day to work but they have cut them out of the schedule.

Karen Kingsbury's latest novel Loving in the Bailey Flanigan series is available March 27.  I should be more excited but I really can't wait for Karen to write about something other than the Baxter family. I will probably buy the copy of Loving to finish the series off.

About three months ago I seen the trailer for The Hunger games. I had never heard of them but the trailer made it look really good.  I put my name on the list for the book at the library and it didn't take long for a copy to become available and I really enjoyed the books in the series.  Here is the trailer if you haven't seen it.

I was talking to one of the reference librarians about the Hunger games and she could see where the story was going and wasn't a huge fan of the series but she had read another series that was the same type of genre that if you liked the Hunger games you might like Matched by Ally Condie.

Here is the book trailer for the first book Matched.

I will try and write more blog posts on a more regular basis.

  1. My son borrowed The Hunger Games from a friend b/c we were 209 on the waiting list at our library. Yeesh! He loved the first book and just started the 2nd. I haven't had a lot of time to read much lately, but am hoping to.

As for blogging, it's hard to come up with something to say sometimes for me too.

    1. One of the perks of working at the library is if it is one of our books I put on hold I get to jump in front of the list. If it's for another library I don't. :)

  2. Hey Katey! You're not a terrible blogger. I agree with Shelly -- sometimes it's just hard to come up with something to say. : )

My daughter just finished reading The Hunger Games, and she has the other two books on the way from amazon.

As you know, I stopped reading the Bailey series after the first book. Just not interested in that series. Like you, I'm looking forward to her writing something else, too.

As you know, I LOVE Words with Friends! I play every day! Scrabble is my favorite game, and the only time I ever used to play was on my birthday, but now I love that I get to play every day. : )

Hope you're having a great weekend!

    1. No wonder you are so good at Words with Friends. Mom and I kept saying it is because you are a teacher you're good at coming up with words. :)
