I love the BBC drama on Masterpiece Classic Downton Abbey. Three episodes of season two have aired and each one is better than the next one. Waiting a year after season one was hard, but I am enjoying the show every Sunday night. I love everything about the show, the characters, time period, and costumes are put together so well.
A lot of people I work with in the library also watch Downton Abbey so on Monday's everyone is talking about the newest episode. Season two seems a little bit darker themed that the first season because of the war and Downton Abbey turning into a convalescent home for injured soldiers.
I can't wait for this Sunday's newest episode. Who else is watching Dowton Abbey season 2?

ReplyDeleteIt took me several episodes in season 1 to get into Downton. Once I got into it, I was able to see all of season 1 online. And I also found someone on Youtube who had scandalously uploaded season 2 before it was here in the States, so I saw all of season 2 already. (before they took down the videos ha ha!)
ReplyDeleteI won't give you any spoilers, but I think season 2 is far better than season 1.
What do you think of Mary? I really don't like her. I don't feel sorry for her in the least that she lost Matthew. Wishy washy woman. I think Matthew deserves better. And I like Matthew.

Shelly, I'm glad you were able to get interested in it. :) I wasn't a fan of Mary in Season 1 but I haven't seen her do anything terrible to anyone yet in Season 2 so I don't mind her at the moment. :) Sybil is my favorite. I like Matthew also.
My favorite character is the young girl in the kitchen. One day she will be head cook of that kitchen!
