Library books

I love working in the library because I get to be around books, I meet all kinds of people, and the best part is seeing what people are reading! I loved talking with people about the books that they are checking out. It is always nice when they recommend a book to read or a movie to watch.

Yesterday, 16 books were returned that all looked like fabulous. They were all new books from different libraries.  I already have two books checked out that I haven’t started reading yet so I was trying to decide if I wanted to read the new books.  I decided I would check them all in and see if they had holds for someone else. If there were holds I wouldn’t check them out.  If they didn’t have holds I would check a few of them out.  None of the books had holds so I took that as a sign from God that I need to read those books. So I came home with 10 items on my account.

I will need to start reading! The book I am most looking forward to is “The Cubicle Next Door” by Siri Mitchell.

Do you go to the Library? If so, do you leave with a huge book bag full of books? What are you reading now?

  1. I've always thought it would be the GREATEST thing to work at a library! I used to volunteer at the library when I was in High School. I LOVE being at the library -- I could hang out there all day!

I take my kids to the library a couple times a month, but I don't usually check anything out for me, since I already have way too many on my bookshelf at home that I haven't read. ;-)

Right now I'm reading a book for the Revell Blog Tour -- Walk Strong, Look Up (non-fiction). Then I'm going to start The Measure of Katie Calloway (another for the blog tour). I will probably take a break from the blog tour for a little bit, so I can read some of the others on my shelf that I'm dying to read. :D

Have a GREAT day, Katey! And thank you SO much for adding my blog button here. :D

    Love,
    Michelle

P.S. I haven't read anything by Siri Mitchell. I hope you enjoy the book!

  2. Oh, and I meant to say . . . I LOVE the pink design that you've added here (as you probably guessed -- I LOVE pink too!)

  3. I wasn't sure if I was going to get the background done correctly but it looks like it worked. I did have a guess that you liked pink! :) I like this background a lot!

I am not a huge fan of reading non fiction. It would be hard to get into reading it. I guess it probably depends on the book.

The Measure of Katie Calloway sounds like an interesting read. Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping and commenting!

  4. Hi Katey!! I go to the library and love to read. I used to check out stacks of books at a time. I didn't always read all of them, but this way I had a backup in case I started reading a book and decided I didn't like it.

I am not reading anything at the moment. I finished my last book on our road trip to La Grande. I need to go to the library :)

I like your blog. You are inspiring me to get moving on mine!! Have fun!

  5. Thanks Rachel! That is so sweet of you to say! I am loving my new background. I think it is exactly what it needed.

I haven't checked this many books out in quite awhile. Hopefully I like them.
